Construction involves all programs and activities in which the organization builds or constructs facilities, roads, dams, etc. The overall accountability rating for this information classification is Low.

Confidentiality level = Low

The confidentiality impact level is the effect of unauthorized disclosure of construction information on the abilities of responsible entities to build or construct facilities, roads, dams, etc. In most cases, the consequences of unauthorized disclosure of construction information will result in a limited adverse effect on organizational operations, organizational assets, or individuals.

Known mitigating factors toward changing the confidentiality level

In some cases, construction details can be of use to criminals or other criminals who seek to penetrate or destroy organizational installations. Unauthorized disclosure of some construction details (e.g., alarm designs, points of vulnerability to the to the structural integrity of a dam or building) can result in danger to critical infrastructures, key organizational assets, or human life. In such cases, the confidentiality impact may be high. There are some cases for which construction information includes classified or other trade secret information. Such cases are outside the scope of this guideline.

Integrity level = Low

The integrity impact level is based on the specific mission and the data supporting that mission, not on the time required to detect the modification or destruction of information. The consequences of unauthorized modification or destruction of construction information depends primarily on the criticality of the information. Typically, the effects of modification or deletion of construction information are limited with respect to organizational missions or assets.

Availability level = Low

The availability impact level is based on the specific mission and the data supporting that mission, not on the time required to reestablish access to construction information. The nature of most organizational construction processes is tolerant of reasonable delays.
