Amyx is seeking to hire a Cybersecurity Engineer in Ft. Meade, MD. This position has the potential to be remote, but must be able to go into the client site weekly for meetings in Ft. Meade, MD.

Provide independent validation and verification to ensure that customer Portfolios capabilities are in compliance with policy, such that the capabilities are cyber secured. Performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized Cybersecurity problems. Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to cybersecurity requirements. Analyzes information security requirements. Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of work flow, organization, and planning. Provides security engineering support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, integration of information systems.

Responsibilities and Daily Tasks:

  • Execute tasks in accordance with the customer’s program integrated master schedule (IMS), and will account for project associated applications, widgets, and plug-ins, as required.
    Support the customer’s ISSMs by interacting with developers, System ISSOs, ISSEs and Validators.
    Work to resolve technical and non-technical STIG and cybersecurity control findings and update POA&Ms in eMASS, the POA&M spreadsheet, or as directed by the Government.
    Track, monitor and evaluate all related IAVMs (IAVAs, IAVBs, and ACAS findings) through identification to closeout as directed by the Government
    Develop and maintain the RMF package to include maintaining the system/program artifacts.
    Validate assigned Security Controls including execution of the SSP, conducting validation activities, and compiling the status of the validation results in the RMF Scorecard.
    Develop and maintain all of the supporting Assessment and Authorization (A&A) compelling evidence such as, the Risk Assessment, Contingency Plan, Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), and other supporting documentation associated with implementing security controls, etc., as required for the RMF.
