  • Aircraft should be outfitted with the maximum physical security. All openings to the aircraft should be locked when not in use. (Pg 36-I-8, Pg 36-I-9, Protection of Assets Manual, ASIS International)
  • Aircraft should be secured by locking the doors to prevent unauthorized access; using a keyed ignition; storing the aircraft in a hangar and locking the hangar door; using additional locks, such as locks on the propellors, throttle, or tie-downs; and not storing the keys inside the aircraft.
